Sydney Metro Central Walk
The Sydney Metro Central Walk is an 80-metre (265 ft) long and 19-metre (63 ft) wide underground pedestrian passageway that connects passengers to trains, light rail and Sydney Metro's new underground subway platforms. The passage runs at right angles to the Central Station tracks and is 27 meters (90 feet) above the new subway platforms, 27 meters below the station. This passage will help meet the more than doubling of expected customer traffic over the next two decades.
Products used
PENETRON ADMIX, a crystalline waterproofing additive, and PENETRON, a topically applied crystalline slurry, were specified to provide comprehensive waterproofing protection for the prefabricated modules, shotcrete and in-situ concrete elements of the underground passage. PENECRETE MORTAR, a crystalline waterproofing repair mortar, was also used to treat all internal mounting holes.
