Mangueirão Stadium
First opened in 1978, the Estádio Estadual Jornalista Edgar Augusto Proença (Edgar Augusto Proença Stadium), also known as “Mangueirão,” is a football stadium with a capacity of 45,007 spectators located in Belém, in the northern Brazilian state of Pará, in the Amazon region. An initial renovation of the facility in 2002 added missing seats and a running track to the field.

Products used
Initially, PENETRON INJECT, a crystalline-based two-component injection mortar with integral waterproofing capabilities, was injected to fill voids and seal deeply encapsulated voids and add stability and strength to the repaired areas. Subsequently, a topical application of PENETRON, a cementitious integral crystalline waterproofing slurry, was applied to the underside of the grandstand structures, above the passageway, and to all exposed concrete surfaces. Once applied, the active ingredients in PENETRON created an insoluble crystalline structure through the pores and capillary channels of the concrete. This improves the impermeability and restores the passivating alkalinity of the structural concrete.
