The $95 million Leichhardt Green urban community, developed by Greenland Australia and designed by award-winning architecture firm Bates Smart, includes five residential buildings with 287 apartments ranging from four to nine stories high. The development has one and a half story underground parking and is thoughtfully designed with pedestrian walkways that connect the buildings around a central square. The ground floor offers retail space and multi-purpose spaces, improving the liveability and accessibility of the community. This project is an example of modern urban living and fosters a sense of community.

Due to the presence of contaminated soil at the construction site, SCP Consultants engineers specified the use of PENETRON ADMIX for the project. More than 12,000 m³ of concrete, supplied by Hanson, was treated with this crystalline waterproofing additive. The improved concrete mixture was specifically used to waterproof the underground parking floors under the residential towers, ensuring sustainable protection against water infiltration. This approach not only solves the challenges posed by contaminated soil, but also contributes to the overall integrity and longevity of the underground structures.
