Jarivatuba wastewater treatment plant
Inaugurated in October 2020, the Jarivatuba Sewage Treatment Plant is the largest of its kind in Santa Catarina State, Brazil. The new $12 million Jarivatuba plant, now considered one of the most modern facilities in Latin America, uses sequencing batch reactors (SBR), which use an “activated sludge process” to treat wastewater.
