Gavardo Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plant
The factory, built in a hilly environment, consists of two parallel treatment lines. Both treatment lines include coarse and fine screening processes, lifting pumps, oxidation and denitrification tanks, sedimentation tanks, sludge treatment lines, disinfection and air treatment with biofilters. The plant is built on three levels, with the configuration using gravity to minimize energy consumption during treatment processes. The final discharge of the treated water takes place in the adjacent Chiese River.

Products used
PENETRON ADMIX was specified for all concrete structures that are exposed to moisture and the aggressive environment caused by the effluent. As a crystalline addition, PENETRON ADMIX is added during mixing and offers low permeability, low shrinkage and self-healing properties to the concrete, providing highly effective protection against the aggressive chemical environment that occurs in sewage treatment plants.
