Located in the hills of the North Coast region, northwest of Ballito, the construction of the new concrete dam for Shaka's Head Reservoir has created a 1.5 million liter (<400,000 gallons) capacity drinking water supply for the growing region.
Products used
Once added to the slurry mix, PENETRON ADMIX, an integral crystalline waterproofing additive, penetrates the underlying concrete to create an insoluble crystalline structure in the pores and capillary channels of the concrete matrix. This increases the durability and longevity of the concrete and also minimizes future maintenance costs related to watertightness for Siza Water, the owner and operator of the reservoir.
