Guita & José Mindlin Library

The Guita & José Mindlin Library in Brazil houses an important collection of books, the largest in Latin America, by José Mindlin, a Brazilian lawyer, entrepreneur, and bibliophile. This collection, containing more than 38,000 books, was donated to the University of São Paulo. The library building that was created to house this huge (and growing) collection is equipped with biometric devices, cameras, and temperature and lighting control to help preserve and protect the collection, which includes numerous rare books.
