The new Vancouver Innovation, Technology and Arts Elementary School (VITA) houses 300 children from pre-school through grade five. VITA takes a project-based learning approach and focuses on art and innovation. VITA's campus also includes a preschool, a performing arts center, and additional spaces for community and private events.
Products used
While mixing, CalPortland added PENETRON ADMIX SB to all the concrete used for the foundation slabs and underground retaining walls that protect the school's basement structures. PENEBAR SW waterproofing strips were used in the new concrete elements to permanently seal all structural joints and thus complete the Penetron waterproofing system.
