The recent completion of a major upgrade to Itatiba's municipal wastewater treatment plant enabled SABESP, Brazil's largest water and waste management company, to meet the latest environmental standards and increase treatment capacity by 500 litres/second.
Products used
PENETRON, a topical crystalline waterproofing material, was applied to the prepared surfaces of the concrete treatment plants to reduce permeability and improve resistance to the aggressive effluent environment. PENEBAR SW swellable water stop strips were used to seal all construction joints, pipes and mounting holes.
